Hi Rick, As long as the Forespar Tiller extension fits tightly into the lock box I see no problem with locking it upwards. However, if it doesn't fit tightly, then gravity, vibration, and Murphy will guarantee that it falls out at the worst moment. Drill a drain hole and solve the problem that way. Connie
