Just want to second Steve's comments on the SCA article sent in by the Chesapeake crew. I just renewed my subscription to SCA and was delighted to get my first issue (after missing two because I'm lazy) and see a bunch of Montys! Great article, wish we had been there...except for that lightning episode! Holly Cow that sounded a little scary! I can't imagine that anyone that visits this list isn't already aware of Small Craft Advisor magazine, but if you are new and not familiar with it you should really check it out. It's the only mag I have ever found that is really for folks like us.Their website is www.smallcraftadvisor.com The other magazine I love is Good Old Boat. It's kind of the big brother to SCA. It's full of great articles on repair, upgrades, etc. for those of us who love to sail but either by choice or by finances will never be sailing a new sailboat. While SCA is stricly small sailboats, GOB runs the whole range of sizes of sailboats. Their website is www.goodoldboat.com I have recently discovered a new (I think) magazine that the editors of Sail are distributing. It's called BoatWorks. Another kind of how-to mag. I'm thinking of subscribing to it. It doesn't seem to cater to the jet-set million dollar boat owners like Sail does. (I think that they pay folks to fix their boats..hahaha)It's available at West Marine. If the next couple of issues are as good as the last two I'm gonna subcribe to it. http://www.sailmag.com/boatworks/ Steve, not sure where on the Left Coast you are at. But if you are gonna try to put some trips together I know we'd be interested. Well, time to go hock boat parts at West Marine to pay for my bad sailing habbits! Sean and Jo M23 Dauntless
