'll probably start by useing the friction auto mount (also included) and just sit it on the seat.
You're a brave man, Bill. I just know that if I tried that, the first time I tacked hard I'd fling that little jewel into the drink. I'm planning to screw the mount on tight somewhere. Just don't know where yet. I must say I like Keith's idea of a swing out bracket inside the cabin. Might be a little harder to read from there, but you can always change the Page Layout to display the data in large text, which helps a little. On my M23 I made a flat kidney shaped SS bracket that pivoted on a Delrin block fastened just inside the stb' side of the companion way enabling the Garmin 45XL to be seen quite easily from the tiller (even on a 23) or rotated inside the cabin for security when at dock, (the 45XL was $300 when purchased in 1993!).
