Forgot this part - here's a few more pix, we did one overnight, down to Harmony Bay at the SW end of the lake. Lovely quiet spot, you pass a few summer cottages going down the arm to near the end but there's this little side bay to anchor in out of sight of those. The lake is fairly shallow & mild water temps, that morning we took a swim before heading back (had to motor back as it was the usual calm morning conditions). Luckily Brandon at the marina had previously told me about the long row of pilings hidden mostly just a few inches below water surface down the middle of the approach to this arm. Used to be a logging town at that end of the lake (early 1900s) and these were the remains of log handling piers & pilings. A few poke just above the water, but one of the few other marina guests, a retired local, told me how he didn't know about them first time down there and just about broke his motor off the mount when he hit one motoring in. cheers, John -- John Schinnerer - M.A., Whole Systems Design -------------------------------------------- - Eco-Living - Whole Systems Design Services People - Place - Learning - Integration john@eco-living.net - 510.982.1334 http://eco-living.net http://sociocracyconsulting.com
