Hi Jim, I live in Ventura (24 miles East of SB). I bought my M15 #172 in November. In my test sail, we went out to Anacapa Island ( closest of the Channel Islands). I am just about finished with a total re-furb of my M. I'm finishing the trailer this weekend along with few other items on the M. The rains and cold weather over the Holidays set me back about three weeks. I can't wait to get out. I should a lot of experience in the Channel Islands by summer and would like to put a trip together. Where are you located? Norm Bundek M15 #172
Hey Norm, Hey Jim, Would you mind an M17 tagging along on any trips to the channel islands. I live in the L.A. area and Ventura is pretty close. Where to launch from? I'm currently prepping my mast for an LPU paint job. I too was delayed by the recent rains. But a trip, this summer, to those Islands sounds great. Keep me posted. Hey Mark, I have my mast down and am replacing the sheaves and doing some cosmetics, I was going to paint it while it was down, what kind of paint is LPU? BTW thanks for the book info, I have been to library and checked out several Sail books, repairing, tuning, making. That is very intresting reading. gilbert
