I have been meaning to post this for awhile and I wasn't quite sure about how to do it. I hope this will work as I would like to share this project with others on the site. It was allot of work to make this however it does dress up the boat nicely and allows launching the anchor from the cockpit. Missing from this picture is one more roller that is mounted to the stansion that holds the top of the anchor up so it self deploys under its own weight.
That looks great! Definitely an inspiration for me. I just got a bow pulpit for my old M-15, and that looks like a great way to cover up the chewed up bow I've got. Did you use teak? It matches the toe rail nicely. On Mon, Feb 4, 2013 at 7:25 PM, Tom Smith <openboatt@gmail.com> wrote:

Is there a kit available ? This looks like an improvement over the drop the hook over the pulpit, then drag back aboard later approach that I have been using. Sure would like to see the roller you are talking about for self deployment. Very interesting as to how you added a bowsprit. Geez, that is beautiful work! Question- did you through- bolt through the perforated metal sheer rail? It looks like there is at least some chance of the nose of your addition contacting the occasional pier before the much more delicate nav light will which would be a very nice addition to the facility afforded by your efforts. I was so interested in looking at the platform that I failed to notice the registration number showing that you're in North Carolina. Where abouts?
