When I purchased "Really" there wasn't a stern pulpit. My first experience sailing San Francisco Bay on a windy day with a ebb tide and a substantial chop was not a safe one. In my opinion, a stern pulpit is a must under similar conditions. I had a stern pulpit and lifelines installed and am grateful for doing so. In addition to a possible lifesaver, it's ideal for supporting the boom tent, a great grab rail when using the swim ladder and supports my anchor light, and American Flag while at anchor. I also attach a Bunje cord to the motor when I want it in the up position and secure it to the stern pulpit. There is minimal inconvenience with starting the motor. I can't imagine being without it. Hi Rich, You've probably answered this one before: Do you have any recommendations for a place in the Bay area to get a stern pulpit to fit these boats and get it installed? George M15 #385 Santa Rosa On Apr 2, 2006, at 8:09 PM, Richard Cottrell wrote:

For rough weather have you considered jack line, tether, and harness? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard Cottrell" <rc2222@pacbell.net> To: "Montgomery Boats" <montgomery_boats@mailman.Xmission.com> Sent: Sunday, April 02, 2006 11:09 PM Subject: M_Boats: stern pulpet
