Thanks for the compliment! One thing I forgot to mention on the site about that 48' aluminum sailboat is that it had the weirdest feature I've ever heard of when we first bought it: the diesel cook/heat stove vented out of the mast! We'd have people come up to us, alarmed, telling us "Smoke is coming from the top of your mast!" It was even more dramatic when my dad converted the stove to burn wood... After several years though, one bad day, the heat partly melted the base of the mast, and then my dad was inspired to replace the mast, put in a normal stovepipe, and then converted the whole sail system to a typical Marconi mainsail, losing the gaff rigged main, kept the two foresails, but took out the rollerfurling.
