Re: M_Boats: Time for a new outboard for M15
I have an older Honda regular shaft on my m15, no clutch, and think its great, but I would prefer the newer model with clutch. One problem I had was that the needle valve for the fuel line is exposed to sea water and rusted and froze. I tried to force it free (big mistake) and it broke off. Its about $150 to fix it, so I use it as is. Fortunately, it is permanently open, which resolves the issue of deciding to run it dry when shutting down. Hope this helps. I'm going to replace my 15 yr old Evinrude 3 hp. I've read the positive reviews on the Honda 2 hp. Anyone have any experience with the Honda pro/con?
