My old friend Geoff, of Prindle Cat fame, passed on about a month ago. Geoff and I have communicated several times a year forever, and I tried to call him recently and found that his phone was disconnected. I drove up to his place, which is at about the 300' level in the Sierras and it was closed down. Talked to neighbor, who told me he had just passed on from a type of blood cancer. I, and many others, will miss him. He was a good friend, and a very talented guy.
That time of life is always sad. On Friday, September 1, 2023 at 05:09:27 PM CDT, jerry montgomery <jmbn1@outlook.com> wrote: My old friend Geoff, of Prindle Cat fame, passed on about a month ago. Jared is Goeff's son. I haven't seen him since he was about half grown! Goeff's house was at an elevation of 3000', not 300! It's made of (I think) 8" foam and is impervious to heat/cold. Amazing. He had no AC and didn't need it, even in 95 degree heat. ________________________________ From: Lawrence Winiarski via montgomery_boats <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Friday, September 1, 2023 7:08 PM To: montgomery list <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Cc: Lawrence Winiarski <lawrence_winiarski@yahoo.com> Subject: M_Boats: Re: Geoff Prindle Sorry to hear that. Jerry, I'm sorry for your loss of an old friend. I never knew Geoff myself, except through playing with the Prindle catamarans. I hope you take comfort in knowing his talents brought joy to many.
