For my M15 I decided to skip the porta-potti in favor of the WAG-Bag system. The PETT toilet, which is a tripod and seat that uses the WAG Bags, looked to be a little too tall to fit in the well and still be short enough for the plywood cover and cushion to fit over as normal. So if you want to go with "dry" system, what works is: Buy a $15 plastic toilet seat and cover, then find yourself a 3 1/2 gallon plastic pail, which is essentially the same diameter as the 5 gallon pails sold at home improvement stores like Home Depot, except not as tall. Our pail was one that contained 3" chlorine tabs for our swimming pool. The REI seat fit over it a little loose, so we created a "gasket" seal with some duct tape. The setup is real simple. Place the WAG bag (which contains the "sand" that turns to get and decomposes the waste) inside the bucket and wrap the top of the bag over the lip of the bucket. Place the seat on snug. Carry extra "pooh powder" in a small container if you need to. I must have been mentally channeling Neil this summer. I did this exact thing, for the first time, this summer. I added a second 3 1/2 gallon pail to the process with a Gamma Seal lid that has a waterproof (and odor proof) seal. I used the wag bag in the bucked with lid under v-berth (as described by Neil). After each use, I then put the used and sealed wag bag in the storage bucket with the Gamma Seal lid. No mess, and NO smell in the boat. The bucket under the v-berth was always empty. I'm sold on this approach and will never go back, but I dislike pouring out porta potties :) Using an entire wag bag for a single use isn't the cheapest, but it's convenient. I bought a box of 12 wag bags online from Amazon at reduced price. I will also say that the wag bags work just fine. Have used them for 4 years now. Most recently on our Georgian Bay trip. Thanks Jason for the Gamma Seal lid info. We were using a large drywall compound tub and keeping it in the dinghy most of the time. Shore visits where applicable also helped. Went to the San Juans and Gulf Islands with a brand new Port a pot that had never been "soiled"...and we returned that way. Just lined it with wag bags.
