Aloha all ~ We're the owners of Little Breeze, the 15 foot that sailed from California. After we purchased it, we put it on a trailer and it was in land storage at the Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor. Since then, we've moved to Kauai and that's why it is no longer seen at the marina. We are now getting ready to move to the Big Island and consider selling her due to the high cost of shipping the boat and trailer - If Michael Mann would like to have first options and his wife is reading this, let us know. I know you have a deep connection with little sailboat. I'll post it on craigslist for Kauai. If we cannot sell it here we may just end up taking her. Aloha Nui, Jen and Ron
Good evening Jennifer, My wife signed me up on Montgomery's blog last year and I have enjoyed reading about all the adventures the Montgomery folks are having. I have looked at your You Tube and/or video you made of sailing Little Breeze off of Honolulu. I hope that you have had some good times on her. The Montgomery boats, of all sizes, are well designed and manufactured. I was working on a container ship last Feb and was in Honolulu looking for the Little Breeze. I went to the little yacht club (La Mariana) to find Fran Burr; the bartender that bought LB from me back in '83 before I headed off to the enroll in the California Maritime Academy, but I was told he was off to Thailand. I have not owned a boat since I owned Little Breeze. I am a member of the Presidio Yacht club in Sausalito, Ca. I get out maybe once or twice a year on San Francisco Bay using one of the club's Cal 30s. I am a merchant seaman and I am shipping out 6 to 9 months a year. It is quite tempting to think that Little Breeze could be mine again, but I am not in a position to make you an offer. So I thank you for taking care of her and I will pray that you can find her a new home and some adventurous sailor to brave the waters off of Hawaii. P.S. Before you let her go could you send me some pictures? If you or the previous owners haven't made any drastic changes I would like a look at the cockpit, the deck, and in the cabin if possible? I am actually thinking about writing a book of my adventure, but I can't quite remember the lockers, the drain plugs, the VDO sum log mount, the top of the cabin, rudder mount, etc. Only if you have time. Are all the sails still intact?
