Jim, Try Torco Smokeless Marine 2-stroke oil and make sure the engine is not too deep in the water - exhaust relief holes must be clear. Some folks open them a little more for exhaust relief (+ noise too) and if in a motorwell -some seal with screws. Remember all Black tanks take SAE 140 wt in the gearcase. Mounting angle and height is critical with Seagulls. GO go start that sucker up!
