Re: M_Boats: More about the 4-stroke
Hi Connie..
On second thought, I shut off the fuel valve on my HONDA mower at the end of the mowing season, and just let the engine run until it runs the carburetor dry. It's always surprising to see just how long it will run on what's in the carburetor bowl<<
My 'Gulls run about a minute on the fuel in the bowl..a bit longer for the 3hp...less for the 5hp
Your Seagulls are starting and running on the fuel in the carburetor fuel bowl. When that is used up, they quit.<<
I run the fuel out of the bowl at sailing day's end. When I start out, I usually check the fuel, and add a bit if it's got less then a quart. Then I open the fuel tap and fill the bowl. The air in the tank is enough to allow the carb bowl to fill, and even run for 5-6 minutes before it'll quit. Happened once, at the start of the season last year <GG> Harvey/Ga M-17 Stargazer #294
