Just purchased a Montgomery 15 and would like any recomendations for outboards. I have a Yamah 4 stroke 4 hp but I think it is too heavy. Considering Honda 2 and Yamah 2.5. Barnegat Bay NJ boater
I have the Honda 2 it starts, gets me in and out of the harbor; haven't done any ocean cruising where tides and currents could be a factor. Upper RPMs to push boat at hull speed the Honda is a little noisy IMO Bill M15 "Desert Dawn" Phoenix On Fri, Apr 10, 2009 at 11:20 AM, Sandra Anton <sailrsandy@yahoo.com> wrote:

Hello, Sandra. The Honda 2 (short shaft) does the job for me/my M-15, now that I have replaced the original fixed mount with a stouter (and lower) Garelick replacement auxiliary mount. At half throttle, the little 2 hp (4-stroke) pushes my Monty just fine. And as the Honda weighs only 27 lbs., you don't have to be Superman (or Woman) to attach and remove, either. —Steve on Whidbey On Apr 10, 2009, at 11:20 AM, Sandra Anton wrote:
