For a little help on SF Bay sailing go to the WW Potter Trailer Sailor Forum (link below) and look for a post (almost) every week by Don Person. He has one of the faster P-15's which will almost keep up with the M-15. He invites anyone with any type of boat to join him on a Wednesday sail or sometimes a Saturday sail. There is frequently a cat boat, a stayless P-15 with a lateen sail, some multi colored sails as well as others. I've sailed with the group a couple of times. Don and the others are great guys. I personally like Alameda, Point Richmond, Oyster Point and Coyote Point launch and sailing areas. Because I wasn't comfortable in my P-15 in the heavy weather, I stuck within a few miles from the ramps, figureing I might be able to swim that far...?
