I have to dinghy through about 100 yards of milfoil to get to to my mooring. Sometimes I can't even get an oar in the water. Fortunately my mooring is just outside the milfoil patch so I can still sail the mother ship on and off the mooring. Hopefully the milfoil won't encroach any farther. I kept my VN23 on Lake Waconia one season back in the late 70s. Before that, before I got into sailing, in the early 70s, I worked as a fry cook at the restaurant that later became Nancy's Landing. I slipped my 1976 M17 on Lake Waconia in the late 90's. At that time they called the marina Nancy's Landing. I was there around 3 years until the milfoil arrived....it's no fun having to rake your slip...
