Re: M_Boats: Deck repair
Howard, I had to do my chainplate areas too. It was easy compared to the foredeck (from below). I have been using epoxy products from System Three. They have a good website and a starter kit with a fabulous instruction booklet. If you own a fiberglass boat, it's time to learn epoxy. The more you play with it, the better you understand it. Someday you could be doing a Robert Redford act in "All is Lost". Bones ____________________________________________________________ The #1 Worst Carb Ever? Hah! I still have nightmares about Redford patching up that hole with very flimsy looking strips of glass and epoxy and that was all that stood between him and the deep blue sea. On Mon, Apr 14, 2014 at 10:36 PM, bownez@juno.com <bownez@juno.com> wrote:

Hey Bones, this is Larry in Sacramento. I am prepping my old M-15 #189 for sale. It shined up on the hull quite nicely. Here is my main question. With the "new" boat (C-Dory 22') I now have 2 Hondas on the back to care for and my problem is I need to find a source of fuel that has no Ethanol. I am not sure if my engines are susceptible to Ethanol (10%) damage. The engines are 2006 vintage. How do I confirm that these engines will not be affected by the new fuels here in California? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for your vast knowledge and your sharing. Have you considered writing a book of your experiences? Larry, I do love the C dory 22. I use aviation fuel in my Honda 2 and Honda 5 and have not had a gummy carb or rubber gasket seal problem. It costs quit a bit more but for some reason they don't like airplane engines to stop while in use. You can get at any local general aviation airport. This website identifies stations by state that sell enthanol-free fuel. www.pure-gas.org Mostly high octane, but some regular as well. I use it in my motorcycles and OB. t On Tue, Apr 15, 2014 at 10:11 AM, Douglas Kelch <doug1kelch@gmail.com>wrote:
