I can't recommend Elliott/Pattison strongly enough - far higher quality than almost any sails out there but still affordable in M15 sizes... plus they're really nice people and have excellent customer service. https://www.epsails.com/ They know M15s very well, you probably don't need to send them any measurements for a standard jib. I have a new main ($485) and jib ($295) from https://www.peaksailsna.com/montgomery/montgomery-15/. The main took ~10 months to arrive, I thought for sure they had gone out of business and would never send me anything (after I paid for the full sail, emailed them multiple times with no reply, etc). However, when the sail arrived I was impressed by the high quality, so I contacted the manufacturer about ordering a jib after being assured that the delivery problems had been worked out and I would get the sails in ~4 weeks. Well, they sent the jib in ~2 months, so some improvement. Both work great on my 1984 M15, and the boat performs SO much better. I can even notice a difference between having the center board up/down now! I requested reinforced piston hanks on the jib, but otherwise made no other special requests. I recently took them out sailing to a club event, and some much more experienced folks in the sailing club also agreed that they were quite well made. FYI Peak was Kelly Hanson and because of business practices specifically banned from taking part in the old Lake Havasu event. 10 months ... just WOW. I'd put that down as unacceptable and if a loft is so backed up they can't deliver at their quoted timeline prior notice is required and a refund offered. Interesting about Peak Sails...quite the good prices even for 'performance' versions. I got my new furling headsail last year via Judy B/Hyde Sails direct. Several people here recommended her, and others also recommended Elliot/Patterson, as well as various other smaller lofts (I'm also in a place where there are no sailmakers of any size anywhere close at hand). Unfortunately my experience with JudyB was mixed. The very short story is that I wouldn't do business with her again. The sail I eventually got seems well made, it works well, I only got to use it a handful of times before end of season last year. And it is a Hyde, a respected loft, she is a semi-independent dealer of some sort. But my furler order was not shipped until I called and she saw she had dropped it. After the sail was running late and she went on a "sabbatical" cruising, communication went to zero (on her end, no response at all to multiple voice mails and e-mails). If she actually had nobody in the office (virtual or otherwise) during that time, that was her choice, but it cost her my business in future. There was an office person who answered during initial calls; dunno what happened to them, maybe they went cruising too. Anyhow, zero response for weeks and weeks is unacceptable to me from someone I'm spending that much money with. I don't know if it was another error on her part, or a silent attempt at apology, but from my credit card records it looks like I was never charged the final percentage of the full cost that would have been charged when the sail actually shipped. Yeah, for the record, I'm not promoting Peak Sails. They were super frustrating to deal with, and not at all transparent or responsive once they had my money. Getting a nice set of sails for < $1000 was a big plus in the end however, so I'd say that the gamble paid off. I did do quite extensive research before purchasing from them, and as far as I could tell, every sail maker had some negative reviews, Peak Sails maybe a few more than the rest, so I did go into the purchase knowing that things could go south. In a similar vein, my Honda 2.3 has been in for warranty service at a shop in Lewiston Idaho for a couple of months now after the clutch started slipping last summer in Desolation Sound, and continued to get worse through last summer. I have demonstrated the clutch slip to the mechanic at the shop, who agrees that it is clearly a problem that should be fixed under warranty. Honda refuses to approve the service unless the shop does ~8 hours of diagnostic work that Honda refuses to pay for however, so we are stuck. Meanwhile I am back to using an old 2-stroke (Tanaka 300) instead of my brand new Honda. Amazingly, the centrifugal clutch on the old engine is perfectly reliable, and it starts first or second pull after all these years (I only wish it were quieter and didn't pollute so much). I think the moral of the story is that every purchase has an element of risk, whether it is a "reputable" seller like Honda, or a cut rate drop shipper with murky business practices. When I was selling the outboard that came with my M17 I had a few people who said my price was too high since there was no warranty even though the motor was under 20 hours...due to it sitting around for years. Your story is a great example of what a warranty is worth - or not! The clutch on the Honda 2.3 is pretty simple (same as on that old Tanaka basically, just different sized parts) and the parts aren't that expensive...if you're handy with mechanicals it might be cheapest and quickest to just DIY. https://peparts.honda.com/marine#/browse/oe/bf/bf2/BF2.3DH-LCHA A guy sailing the Sea Pearl all over the Americas replaced his a couple times I think while on the journey. A friend got a brand new Tohatsu 3.5 that was a lemon right off. I have demonstrated the clutch slip to the mechanic at the shop, who agrees that it is clearly a problem that should be fixed under warranty. Honda refuses to approve the service unless the shop does ~8 hours of diagnostic work that Honda refuses to pay for however, so we are stuck. Meanwhile I am back to using an old 2-stroke (Tanaka 300) instead of my brand new Honda. Amazingly, the centrifugal clutch on the old engine is perfectly reliable, and it starts first or second pull after all these years (I only wish it were quieter and didn't pollute so much).
I think the moral of the story is that every purchase has an element of risk, whether it is a "reputable" seller like Honda, or a cut rate drop shipper with murky business practices.

I got my new furling headsail last year via Judy B/Hyde Sails direct. Several people here recommended her, and others also recommended Elliot/Patterson, as well as various other smaller lofts (I'm also in a place where there are no sailmakers of any size anywhere close at hand).
Unfortunately my experience with JudyB was mixed. The very short story is that I wouldn't do business with her again. The sail I eventually got seems well made, it works well, I only got to use it a handful of times before end of season last year. And it is a Hyde, a respected loft, she is a semi-independent dealer of some sort. But my furler order was not shipped until I called and she saw she had dropped it. After the sail was running late and she went on a "sabbatical" cruising, communication went to zero (on her end, no response at all to multiple voice mails and e-mails). If she actually had nobody in the office (virtual or otherwise) during that time, that was her choice, but it cost her my business in future. There was an office person who answered during initial calls; dunno what happened to them, maybe they went cruising too. Anyhow, zero response for weeks and weeks is unacceptable to me from someone I'm spending that much money with. I don't know if it was another error on her part, or a silent attempt at apology, but from my credit card records it looks like I was never charged the final percentage of the full cost that would have been charged when the sail actually shipped. So I got a small discount for my trouble, in a roundabout way.

I've purchased 4 different sails over the years from Elliott Pattison for my M23. All have been excellent quality at a good price, delivered in a very timely manner. I agree with Bob Eeg, Harry Pattison is just the best! I'll be ordering a set of sails for my M15 from him next.
