I, Eldor Eisen and my wife Dorothy owned a Montgomery 17 for about 15 years. We did the San Juan Islsnd cruise with Larry Yake 3 times, did the Potter Yachter Challenge once and did Lake Havasu several times.Reason for this email.Dorothy now has Frontotemporal Dementia, serious balance problems and various other health issues. Now the bad part, I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in mid May and had my first chemo treatment a week ago. The goal is to keep it from spreading. I didn’t have any of the adverse reactions I was told to expect and still feel great but I am sure that will change as time goes by. Thank you for your prayers Eldor and Dorothy Eisen Sent from AOL Mobile Mail Get the new AOL app: mail.mobile.aol.com

Eldor and Dorothy: So sorry for your difficulties. I remember our sailing trips and your fixed keel M17 and how well you sailed and camped on your boat. And oh yes, the boat trailer with two motorcycles strapped on. I’ll always remember you two and your big Texas flag. You are not forgotten. ~~~_/)~~~ Gary Sent from my iPhone :-)

Dear Eldor and Dorothy, Our Montgomery website has always been a wonderful sailing neighborhood filled with advice and interesting sailing adventure stories. Its been a chance to meet and talk with many fellow Montgomery sailors. We moved to Texas (Dallas) in 2013, so I am hoping to become a Texas citizen shortly. Will I then be "officially" allowed to wear a Texas hat? My thoughts are with you both though we've never met. Connie ex M-15 #400 LEPPO On 7/24/2020 8:46 PM, GARY M HYDE via montgomery_boats wrote:

Eldor, sorry to hear about your and Dorothy's health problems. Sounds pretty serious for both of you. I have good memories of sailing with you guys in the islands. Those were some good times! We will certainly remember you guys in our prayers. Larry Yake On Fri, Jul 24, 2020 at 1:50 PM eisenee--- via montgomery_boats < montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> wrote:

Eldor, you're in our prayers every night. Adding Dorothy's condition now too. Roberta's mom has had FTD for more than 10 years so we can certainly empathize. I'll contact you off list. Eldor, I’m saddened to hear the news concerning Dorothy and yourself. We met several years ago when you were passing through Maryland. We met in Solomon’s Island and you piloted my M-15 for the day. I remember the day fondly. I’ve met some wonderful people on this site of which you and your wife are included. My father is 87 and showing signs of dementia so I feel for you. I pray for healing for the both of you and God’s comfort through these difficult times. ~Skip M-15 #201 1982 <Sent from my iPhone>
