I've seen stern lights mounted on the tail end of the rudder. The wire cable disconnects where ever it goes into the hull for trailering. I suppose a short mounting pipe could raise it high enough for you and could be made to be removable too. Sandy

Sandy, The rudder mounted light is an interesting alternative. Putting it that little bit further outboard could permit a wider field of view without blinding the captain (and if the light bothers him, he will know he's probably applying too much rudder ?). Stan
