I've toped 7.9 by GPS surfing a wave on a broad reach into Ventura Harbor. The swells were about 10 - 12' and breaking over the break water. The wind was around 18 MPH. This was in my M15. It's a strange feeling to see over the break water while gliding past it. Norm M15 #172
