Does anyone have any information on the Montgomery 12 sailing dinghy. I am in the process of restoring one and would be most appreciative of a sailplan, brochures picturing the boat or any info that might be pertinent. Thanks Keith Harris
I have a 12. In the original brochure that I had they came set up either as sloops or as catboats. In the catboat setup the mast appeared to be stepped farther foreward than the sloop rig. I have a sloop rig with a mainsail and what I believe is called a Genoa jib. The jib is loose footed and extends past the mast. I hope that I have all the terminology right. I have a Montgomery 12 hull # 141. Mine is 7/8th sloop rigged. If you can find copies of any info, would you please digitize it so that you can share? I would be very happy to see or have what you may find. My love affair with Montgomery boats goes back to 1974 when I bought a 7 11 as a tender and which I still own. It has been to Micronesia twice (easy way in a container). I am hopeful to find a 17 some time in the future. at any rate, the 12 is a beautiful sloop rigged daysailer. I think that I have the literature someplace. If I come across it, I will copy and send it.
