Little Breeze Alive and Well
Aloha all ~ I've been in touch with Laura Mann and sent her a few videos of Little Breeze in Honolulu. Ron and I are now on the island of Kauai and we brought LB with us. Even though our jobs took us away from our 47 foot Cal in Honolulu (we've had to put her up for sale) we brought Little Breeze with us and she's being stored on her tailer on a little farm west of us. We have yet to use her since last April due to our new positions but have plans on taking her up the Wailua river for some overnight getaways. The Wailua River is the only navigable river in all Hawaii and we're lucky to be living right next door. We took our portabote up there when we first arrived and the incredible scenery can't be described. We'll look forward to Michael and Laura's book on the trip across the Pacific. Mouths still drop when we tell them of her adventures and Michael's incredible voyage. Respectfully, Jen and Ron Tiernay from the Isle of Kauai
Jennifer, We too have a "Little Breeze" but ours is an M-17 which we sail mostly on the Columbia around Portland. We know your new area well as we lived in Kapaa years ago, up past the falls in the Wailua Homesteads. While we didn't have a sailboat then we always thought that Nawiliwili Harbor and the open ocean there (when the trades wern't snorting) would be great for a small boat. Kind Regards..Arnold and Alice Sharpe On Feb 10, 2010, at 10:06 AM, Jennifer Tiernay wrote:
