Arnold, Any pics of the interior? Does the boat have a compression post under the mast or a bridge across the bulkheads? I'd sure like to know if it's the boat I built. I'm a little over inventory just now to consider another boat, however if it's my old boat I can help you sell it. Arnold- the gray gelcoat on Stan's boat woujld have been sprayed directly on the mold, then a very thin layer of black as a backup to see any air bubbles), then the glass would have been layed up directly over the black backup layer. What Stan and I were wondering is if a prior own er sprayed a coat of white over the gray. If that were so, if you were to scratch the white you would find under it a heavy coat of the original gray. If it's an original white boat, if you scratched the white youi would find a very thin coat of black or darker gray backup. jerry ----- Original Message ----- From: "Arnold Sharpe" <afsharpe@mac.com> To: "For and about Montgomery Sailboats" <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 03, 2011 10:26 AM Subject: Re: M_Boats: M-17 for sale

That's right- I stand corrected. Stan put a 17 together; I traded the hull and deck to him for doing the plug work for the flush deck 17.
