When I bought my 2003 Honda 2hp, the dealer specifically mentioned to be certain to drain the carbureator. There is a small slot head screw under the cowl and about 3 tablespoons of fuel drips/drains out. Of course he added the disclamer to make sure and have a handy container so as not to spill fuel at the ramp parking lot. He also added the most common problem was seals of the carb softening and leaking due to the new fuel additives (maybe only in CA) that are being put into pump gas. I've never experienced a leak with vent closed, carb drained and resting on the proper side. Bill
