Ahoy Sailors! I am new to the group as I just bought an M23 and am starting to fall in love. My dad and I are in the process of redoing all the woodwork on the inside and out. We wet sanded it all with teak oil and then put about 8 coats of varnish on all the interior hatch covers, and are getting ready to do all the wood on the sides down below. I am towing the boat tomorrow over to my dad's driveway in St Paul to save drive time back and forth from the boat while we do some work. I am going to also go thru all of the standing rigging and probably redo it all. Looking for tips there if anyone has instructions they can send to me. Another one of my projects is the mast step. It is free span under the mast inside the boat. Mine is 1982 for the vintage, so newer boat with respect to how they do the decks. I noticed there is sag and deck flex under the mast. My plan was to cut it out and redo it and I wanted to see if anyone else has done that and what tips they can share with me and if you might have some pictures!! Please advise, as I can use the help.
