Hi Listers, The centerboard hole will squirt some water when in a chop on my M17. Then I had my pendant replaced at Hooper's, they added a small fairlead plate on the top of the centerboard trunk. It is a flat plate held on by two screws and the pendant passes through a metal ring insert. Great idea, the ring provides anti-chafe protection, and it limits the hole size. On the mighty M23, water REALLY shoots out the trunk winch when in rough seas, I stuff a sponge in the winch window. . . . idea, Bones . . . My pendant hole lost its plastic collet quite awhile ago, was 'glassed in by a repairman, but now has breakage . . . I'd love to solve the problem once and for all with a metal plate. Do you have any photos of it? --Craig ----- Original Message ----- From: bownez@juno.com To: montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com Sent: Saturday, November 06, 2004 1:17 PM Subject: Little Squirt Hi Listers, The centerboard hole will squirt some water when in a chop on my M17.
