This is probably a dumb question and a stupid thing to do but.... What would a fair price range be for a M15, sight unseen be? How is the resale and demand? Thanks, Fred M12, M711
It would depend on the Year, condition of the sails, steel or lead ballast and rust on the trailer. Those are the big factors; other factors apply as well like gelcoat condition, wood condition, cushions, damage history, etc. I would never buy a used boat without seeing it and over a certain amount of money (say $3500) perhaps a survey to check the keel/centerboard and any possible deck delamination in the balsa core. There are people on this list that bought used M boats and discovered problems after they got her home. Not fun. And others had no problems what-so-ever. Just my opinion Bob Fred Stout wrote:

It's impossible to guess the value without knowing more about the boat. You need to know the age of the boat, what equipment it has, and as much of its history as the owner can tell you. Condition of trailer and outboard (if available) accounts for much of a boats value. M15's are always in demand, resale value is always strong. Talk to the seller and ask lots of questions. Many on this list have bought sight unseen, including myself. As an aside, I see you have a M12, could you give me the sail dimensions?
