Has anyone mentioned this M17 for sale at Hooper's (Afton, Minnesota)? Interesting write-up ... http://www.hoopersyachts.com/Index.cfm?PageID=11&usedboatid=667 or ... http://tinyurl.com/bb8kw Built by Gerry Montgomery, designed by Lyle Hess & tooled by Woodford Royce, the Monty 17 is truly one of the best built small sailboats ever made. The construction is very solid & the lapstrake hull design is not only beautiful, but it is strong. The entire boat can be lifted from the three mooring cleats. The interior configuration is that of a double V-berth and a single starboard settee. The fiberglass galley unit is to port. She’s a dry sailing vessel with high cockpit sides for comfort & safety. The shoal keel has a centerboard & the lift cable is not exposed to pick up any weeds. She’s self-righting whether the board is up or down. ‘A delight to own and fun to sail. 1979 MONTGOMERY 17 "" $3,600.00 Hull & Deck: Cream File Number: 1482 Stripe Color: Blue Located at: Hooper's Yachts LOA: 17' 2" LWL: 15' 10" BEAM: 7' 4" DRAFT: 1'9 SA: ²RIG: Sloop HULL: Mono Ballast: 580 Displacement: 1,550 KEEL: Shoal w/centerboard
