John, it sounds as if you are going to have a wonderful trip. Depending upon my work schedule, the San Carlos portion of your trip is one that I may be able to make. I will let you know later in the year. I don't know whether or not you enjoy a "wee toddy" or two, but if you do, don't miss the Florabama bar, located on the Florida-Alabama line, right on the beach. It has live music (sometimes two or three bands in different areas, perhaps a blues band, a rock band, etc.) , and a really pleasant mix of customers ranging from the Navy fighter pilots to locals to bikers to sailors... you get the idea.
