I was looking into summer sailing up at Lake Chelan, cruising up to Steheiken and camping ashore along the way. Anyone done that? Can anyone comment as to how is the sailing, and how many days would be needed to go there and back at a casual pace? Neil Dorf M15, Roseville CA
Neil: I think the lake is about 45 miles long, but you can launch at 25 Mile Creek on the west side and sail up from there. I motored up there twice back in the early 60's. Weather was 90 one year and 50 and raining the next. Haven't sailed that lake. --Gary Hyde 2005 M17 #637 sailboat 'Hydeaway 2' On Feb 18, 2010, at 11:26 AM, ndorf@surfbest.net wrote:
