Hi Everybody: Well, it looks like I'm not going to make it to the Keys this year with my boat, so I can't shoot the photograph that I wanted... my Monty 17 tied to a palm tree, with white sands, blue skies, and sapphire-colored water. Maybe some of you folks have. Do you have a good photo that you'd like to share, and that you wouldn't mind seeing in a book? Under sail or at anchor, doesn't matter. Hopefully in a location that would make anyone green with envy. It'll have to well-focused and good contrast. Prints are preferred, but high-resolution digital is fine too. It doesn't have to be a Montgomery, though it should be a trailerable sailboat. This is for my next book on trailer-sailing, which will kind of be along the same subject matter of Robert Burgess' handbook, but an entirely new book. Won't be published for about a year and a half. You'll get full photo credits, of course, but you'll need to be the copyright owner. Email me directly at hammerguy@mindspring.com if this is something you'd like to be a part of, and thanks! Hi Brian, Man.. I could send you hundreds, of excellent photos. Well, I can think of at least a few hundred Kodak moments that should be in print on the pages of a book. However, only a few of them are mine, and they have already been published in the MSOG Photo Site. So, if you have the time and inclination, visit the Photo Site and figure out which photos you could use and I'll be happy to assist in getting written authorization from the boat owner to do same. They are all digital and can easily be turned into print, if necessary, either on a good printer, or online at lots of locations; Wallgreens, Wallmart, Shutterfly, etc.etc. All the photos are 1024 X 768 on the site - and I have all the originals, some with resolution as high or higher than 1600 X 1200 at 300 DPI. Most would come out excellent, even as color, cover photos for a sailing magazine. But, of course you know all that. So, if I can be of any assist in your project, please allow me to.
