Hello, Has anyone purchased sails from Cruising Direct? If so would you buy again? Are there any sail makers you'd recommend or recommend against? Also, when stepping my mast I somehow forgot to unplug the mast light, while unscrewing the nut & bolt at the base of the mast. Well, I pulled the wires from the plug while lowering the mast. I have not been able to figure out how to remove the round plastic insert or reconnect the two wires. Has anyone been through this before? Jim, I was pleased with the service, price and product from Ed Christie at <info@ccsailmakers.com> and would recommend them. Stan Winarski M-15, #177, Carol II
Jim, The deck plug for the mast lights on Grace has a small set screw which holds the inner plastic piece which in turn has a small set screw to hold each wire in place. Grace has 3 wires as opposed to your 2 but the plug may be similar to yours. I purchased a new furling genoa from North Sails in Portland Or. this past spring. I am happy with the quality of their product. I based my decision in part on the recommendations of others and also on the proximity of their shop. They delivered on time with a good sail with no surprises. I would rate that as good service. Good Luck Mark Dvorscak M17 #400 GRACE
