Found one for sale. Are they less desirable than the c board modem model? This one has no trailer and has been in the water a long time. It needs painting, but the rig seems to be all there. It has newer sails and standing rigging. It has no sink. Would anyone venture a guess on a valuation? It would be a good boat for SF Bay, or costal passages, baja. I also noticed right away that the mast was curved, concave forward. It had 2 lower shrouds each side mounted to a track. It's different than my boat. The mast did seem raked properly. Odd hull number but the deck is correct for a '90. If the keel is fixed it is the fiberglass type that has internal lead v. the older bolted on cast iron fixed keels. Here is a link to a sister ship do you can see the keel and the needed trailer (if you are going to trailer the boat). https://www.msogphotosite.com/Scripts/Boats/boatsdetail.php?id=28 The rudder in the picture you shared is the original type on a sliding rod. It is mahogany. It needs to be inspected for rot and warping. It should have been coated in epoxy to better protect the wood from getting water damage. Value - if you want to trailer the boat has little 'value'. This is because getting a trailer made will cost more than the boats value. The fixed keel boats are also more challenging to launch as need a long steel ramp. The trailer used by MOTU ITI has a really long tongue extension. I've assisted in launching and retrieving her and the system worked well IF the ramp was appropriate. The usual inspection items need to be reviewed: core rot, sails condition, outboard condition, interior condition and the condition of the hull (ie blisters) along with the before mentioned rudder. :: Dave Scobie :: M6'8" #650 :: Baba 30 #233 DEJA VU :: SV SWALLOW - sv-swallow.com :: former owner M17 #375 SWEET PEA - m17-375.com :: former owner M15 #288 SCRED - m15namedscred.wordpress.com <<-- new site! Jon: Re-read the post and I missed answering one of your questions - The adjusting shrouds can be nice for adjusting mast bend. BUT the current adjustment, concave forward, is not correct. Get feedback from JerryM, Gary Oberbeck and/or Stan Sussman (they have more experience than I on using stays on a track). :: Dave Scobie :: M6'8" #650 :: Baba 30 #233 DEJA VU :: SV SWALLOW - sv-swallow.com :: former owner M17 #375 SWEET PEA - m17-375.com :: former owner M15 #288 SCRED - m15namedscred.wordpress.com <<-- new site!
