Re: M_Boats: Factory prepped for a big crossing....
Hi Tim I don't think the owner is on this list. He is from Austria and lives in Namibia in Africa. He ordered the boat to be built to where we were ready to deck it; then he flew in for us to add his custom requirements. No engine. Were attaching custom oar locks on a sliding 1.25 inch genny track; watertight hatches, solar charging system, GPS, stainless opening ports..etc windvane (were working on the windvane project this week)..up size some of the cables, cover the rudder in glass..etc.. An interesting project. Later Bob -----Original Message-----

"We're building another Custom 17 for an Atlantic Ocean crossing. We'll get
some
photos of her when we finish installing the windvane. She has stainless
opening ports and some custom work; upsized rig..etc. real neat looking so
far.
Fair winds

This just about snuck by me.
This topic has my attention. Is the owner on this list? This intrepid sailors plans would be fantastic to hear.
The photos would be appreciated (at least by me) for sure....plus any other details once the project is done.
Very cool.

Anything different about the keel? Fixed or CB? Water capacity? Commercial wind vane or??? What is the planned route? Starting point? Bermuda? Azores? Ending point? This year? Seems like it's getting late to start something like that this year. On Sep 24, 2007, at 9:58 AM, Bob Eeg wrote:
