Hi Brian, I can't give you a weight of an M15 plus trailer, outboard and supplies, but for what it's worth, I haul my M15 with a VW GOLF. Initially I had a VW GTI with the VR6 engine and a manual transmission; later I had a GTI with the 1.8T and an automatic transmission, and my latest - and ultimate tow vehicle is a VW Jetta wagon with the VR6 and an automatic transmission. Years ago I bought a Bolger MICRO, sight-unseen, in Green Bay, WI. My wife and I picked it up from the seller and then drove to Clearwater Florida down I-75. The MICRO weighted about 900 lbs: with equipment say, 1000 lbs. The problem was that the trailer was probably made to haul a mobile home, and weighted about twice what the MICRO did. So, MICRO, plus trailer must have been about 2500 lbs. The VW GOLF - a 4 cylinder machine with a manual transmission at that time - managed to haul the rig through the mountains of Tennessee Florida, and then back to Connecticut via I-95. Yes, I did a lot of shifting, but it worked. I picked up the M15 in panama City, FL using my VW GTI. Once we got used to the rig and our confidence built up, our speed increased too. I was finally cruising at about 70 MPH, and you only knew that you had something in back of you when you looked in the rear view mirror and saw the boat. Since then, I have made trips to Lake Champlain, NY and to Moosehead Lake, ME: the boat filled with equipment; the Bolger NYMPH dinghy on the roof of the car, plus our personal clothing, etc. No strain or pain that I could detect. I find that the VW GOLF / Jetta and the M15 make a great rig. Yes, through the mountains you'll have to downshift to a lower gear; and if you have to do a lot of mountain driving I'd want brakes on the trailer, but it would work. Connie M15 #400 Glastonbury, CT
