Hah! Those of us who had the pleasure of sailing with Doug on the Chesapeake also know of his legendary filming-while-sailing multitasking abilities! Doug's motto would appear to be a variation of the traditional "One hand for the ship, one hand for yourself." Soooo, not too sure how much videoing I can get done, but I totally agree with Todd....Doug's video while sailing skills are far superior to mine! Joe, My success with video's on the water is due to the anti jitter feature in my camera. It is a high end Sony ( quit old now, I hope it still works) and the feature then was called steady shot. It locks in on the focused object and keeps it in the frame in it in spite of the wave action. You still have to help a lot with steady eye and hand but it makes that nasty seasickness feeling go away. Hi Sean, I've taken video with my camera on a monopod and stuck into an umbrella holder (cascade outfitters) on my raft. Lots of motion, but the reference of the boat helps.
