Hi Listers, I'm freshly home from the NW Monty cruise in the San Juans. Fellow M23er Chef Theo and I chartered a BCC for 8 days to fit in with the other Hess boats. On a run from Sucia Island to Stuart Island on a beam reach with the current I saw 7.8 knots on my GPS. I thought that was pretty good for a 28 foot, 14,000 lb cutter. It was surpassed the last day of the trip in Rosario Straight with 25 to 35 knot winds, 6 foot seas, broad reach with current, I saw 8.2 knots. What a ride... If you have never seen the San Juans, you must sail there. Bones
