Call me crazy, but I think a traveler track mounted on the transom would improve both access to the OB and climbing aboard the swim ladder. After all, you can do only one thing at a time. You could pull the car one way for the motor and the other way for the ladder. What to do about the tiller is another matter. I have a “mid-air” block and cleat for aft sheeting, but when the wind dies the block bounces around in an annoying fashion. I like the improved access to the cabin that aft sheeting gives. My first boat had it so it was a little difficult at first for me to remember to look forward for the main rather than aft with the original design. It all comes down to personal preference. steve, G.I.T. "Geezer In Training" Steve R. M-15 #119 Lexington, KY ================================================================ To All M-boaters, In the past, I remember some discussion concerning the M-15 main sheet configuration and the inability to mount a traveler to the stern. If an M-15 was outfitted with a stern pulpit, would it be possible to mount the traveler to the top rail of the stern pulpit? I have an early M-15 which does not have the stern pulpit and was considering adding one. This maybe just one of my crazy ideas, but thought I'd throw it out there and see if it sticks. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Regards, Skip M-15 #201 (still nameless)
