Hi everyone - thought I would post a brief update on my progress (journey) on the boat currently know as Ce Cee. A week or so ago, I went to pick up the new Pacific trailer so I could get the boat on a trailer and closer to me. This would make it easier to do the work (she is in San Francisco bay area and I am in Sacramento about 2 hours away). When we tried to get her on the trailer the center-board was stuck down. After trying again to raise the CB (with more force this time) we broke off one of the blocks the pulley cable runs through. So, plan 'B'.. time to hire professionals. I went over to the boat yard and got on the schedule to get the boat hauled and see if we could get the CB to budge. I ended up having the boat yard pull the CB. I had them load it up in my truck and I was off to the sandblaster. I returned a few days later with the sandblasted CB. I made sure we had it set-up that we could get a primer coat on the raw CB within hours of the sandblasting (picked this from Sean's postings on his site. Thanks Sean). I decided to bite the bullet and pay the yard to get the CB faired and painted up also. This should be complete late this week and I'll head back down with the trailer and pick her up. The hull looks in pretty good shape. No blisters that we could see! I can wait to get her in my driveway so I can start doing some of the other repairs! Todd

Todd, I am an owner of a 1981 production M-15. I am here in Sacramento and have not sailed in quite a while. Do you sail on Folsom Lake? Send some images of the work you are doing. I had to have (2006) my original CB pulled and replaced by Morrison Marine. It was not cheap but they did a good job. I replaced the CB pin with a 5/8" pin, stainless bolt, then finished out the keel with 2 part primer then 2 part finish epoxy (color match was "cream") from West Marine. I can never make my rig up time less than one full hour doing it alone. Just too many details to think about. Todd- I have a virgin 23 CB in case you're interested. Yours looks like a lot of work. Hi Todd, boy that is one complete marine eco system that was on the CB! When you first said that it would not go up I was thinking bad things about the center board trunk/keel but then looking at the board I do not wonder that it would not budge. Mine would not move just because of all the rust on it making it tight in the CB trunk. Yours had more rust and a whole bio system! I did the sand blast (soda blast actually) barrier coat, fairing and bottom paint process on my center board myself. I would not recommend messing around with that 300+lb board to anyone so it is money well spent having the yard take care of it. Great looking boat! Please keep us updated on your projects. Thanks Robbin - I think I made the right choice having the yard do this work. It's not cheap but, they are set up to do it. And I can get the whole thing done in a about 1 week. I'm afraid it would take me months of a few hours here and there to get this done!
