Do any of the few 23 owners have cockpit cushions? I'm having a set custom made but am stumped as to a sound method for securing the cushions as not to move while heeling/getting to the lazerettes. Thanks. Theo M23 Sails Increase
Theo, the trouble with Velcro is that both pieces have to be sewed, because with you start pulling them apart you pull the glue off, both cushions without fasteners is best for easy removal and storage On Wed, Apr 10, 2019 at 6:01 AM Theo Petron <lapstrake1979@gmail.com> wrote:

Hello, M23 Dhana does not have any custom cockpit cushions. I use some generic west marine cushions that aren’t custom to the boat. They resist water and have a back cushion that ratchets in place so you can relax. See the link below. They actually fit pretty well on the cockpit seats when you flatten them out. They are tough and have fared well for me. In higher winds or during races with lots of tacking, they get stowed below. They just get in the way. I wouldn’t want any screws or glued Velcro anywhere near my cockpit. Just my personal preference. Less holes in the deck is better. https://www.westmarine.com/buy/west-marine--go-anywhere-low-back-seat-2--103... Hope that helps! Gerry

Hi Theo. We just have plain generic closed cell foam pads on our M23. They are not attached in any way but they don't move much. We had some fancy custom cushions on our M17 (closed cell foam also with a coating of some sort). They looked a lot nicer but they didn't perform any better than the plain closed cell foam we have on the 23.
