Looks like someone at the registration office slipped up why typing. Correction: I just double checked my registration card. Monita is registered as a 1979 SEAKING! SEAKING is the house brand name Montgomery Ward used for their outboard motors and other boating gear back in the day. I believe the Seaking Motors were actually made by Evinrude. Ha! The title for my Minnesota 1980 M17 also says SEAKING and I always wondered where that came from. Now I know!

Jon, I owned an M-10 for awhile and it was titled as a Montgomery Ward. After I bought the boat I tried to have it corrected but that opened up a whole other can of worms. So I sailed my Montgomery Ward for a few years before I ended up selling her. William Campion
