Hi Bruce, will do. I just finished Kiwi gripping the deck and putting in some holes for the tabernacle in the area that is now solid laminate. I need to remember to wear some sort of bunny suit if drilling fibre glass above me again! The Kiwi grip worked very well and it is almost a dead match for the original color so I did not have to tint it. The directions say to apply in the shade and best if done below 70 deg F. And they are right about that. I got the the marina at 7:00am but was not rolling until 10:00 as I had to tape all around the cabin top non skid. I had removed the hardware a week ago. The Kiwi grip was very easy to work with. But it would have been much easier with two people and if the temperature were significantly lower. And I need to watch out where I put my hand to brace myself when rolling Kiwi grip on the deck! But it is water based so very easy to clean up if done quickly. Same with pulling the tape that is used to mask off areas that are not non skid. Spread Kiwi with notched epoxy spreader, roll, pull tape immediately. And if you have an area like the center stripe by the tabernacle that is about one tape width wide, put down two layers of tape. I figured this out too late. I bought a gallon as I figured a bit more than a quart for the cabin top and front hatch. And I need to do this on the side decks, rear hatch, cockpit etc. All the non skid is skid at this point. I have to say that every time I am down there someone tells me how much they like the boat. Today was no exception. I like working on the boat! Just hanging out down by the bay is very nice. So it works out. I will put pictures up showing the Kiwi grip on my Picasa site soon. I do have a question for the group. The area under the tabernacle had a raised "platform" that tilted back just a bit. I was considering replicating this on my now smooth deck but then I considered that the tilt in this platform is not really raking the mast as with the mast hinged as it is in the tabernacle adjusting the stays rakes the mast. Does any one have any thoughts on why the base/platform under the tabernacle was tilted back. And should I replicate this? Thanks in advance, Robbin M-23 + On 6/24/2014 1:53 PM, Bruce Ward wrote:

Robbin, be sure to take "Before" photos too of the same areas that you Kiwied... (my M-15 is for sale and is in "good" condition, not excellent but everything works and has been carefully covered. It is a 1981 vintage, like a wine that has fiberglass in it!) --Fair Winds....Larry On Tuesday, June 24, 2014 12:56 PM, Robbin Roddewig <robbin.roddewig@verizon.net> wrote: Hi Bruce, will do. Robbin, in a few years of use and regular maintenance you will look back and not know how you could have done all that work. It will be worth it. Thanks Larry, I appreciate it! Love the C-Dory's! Great boats. Filled all the rail holes and other hardware holes in the cabin top today with epoxy after over drilling the holes. A few had some obviously rotten balsa (not wet, but rotten) but thankfully not many! I am going to put the mast up next week if possible and get back to sailing while I finish repairs.
