Re: M_Boats: Trailer Tire Sidewall Cracks
Hi Rich, Time to replace. This spring, we had to replace the spare on a 16 foot fishing boat before driving to Canada. The tire would not hold air due to sidewall cracks. It had never touched the road! UV took her life. I believe I have radial tires on my M17 trailer. It probably makes little difference. Bones, M-15 owner here in Sacramento. Do you keep your spare covered with one of those cheap tire covers? I also keep the South facing trailer tire covered with an old garbage can (roughneck) cover wired in place. Makes a great home for spiders too.
