1978! I'll try to remember to get a pic tomorrow. I'm off for three days amd the admiral booked 2 of them, so I'm sailing tomorrow rain or hurricane! The tubes were connected by a length of heavy duty (exhaust?) hose that is longer and more circular than you might expect, apparently to discourage back flow. Not sure of the size but guessing the tube od and the hose id are about 1 1/2". The brass (bronze?) fitting is not original, but is a worthwhile upgrade because the aluminum tubes can oxidize to the point that they fail. -----Original Message----- From: Dave Scobie Sent: Tuesday, August 09, 2016 3:25 PM To: For and about Montgomery Sailboats Subject: Re: M_Boats: Cockpit drain... What year is your boat? Cockpit drains are different over the years. :: Dave Scobie On Aug 9, 2016 8:28 AM, "Jazzy" <jazzydaze@gmail.com> wrote: Hi all,
I have about a 2 inch, brass threaded fitting on the cockpit floor near the transom. It drains through a hose and out of the back. I bought a brass cap that screws into it with about an inch and a half square head. Is this what goes there? What do you all have there?
