Hello everyone! My name is Jack Phipps and this is my first submission. I haven't read the archives or FAQs yet so I hope this serves as a good introduction. The Montgomery 15 is on my short list (currently two boats long as I am only considering the Montgomery 15 or 17 at this time). I will be pulling it with a Honda Element with a 2000 pound maximum capacity trailer hitch. I would love to crew with someone who is within 200 miles "or so" of Austin Texas (the "or so" could be much further if your Montgomery is in an interesting place :) ). Anytime you are going to be sailing I would love a call if I could go along for a ride. Please send me an email off list if you are interested! I would also love to hear of the advantages of the Montgomery as a good trailerable sailboat compared to alternatives.
