Aluminum AND fiberglass can be recycled - hard to find anyone to recycle FG though. You are to be commended for giving hull #44 a new life. Kudos for taking on such an involved project. Some other "boater" could have well chopped the keel off, plugged it, and mounted a 150hp outboard on the transom! (Jerry has a story about such an occurrence).
