Re: M_Boats: New list member - looking for Montgomery encounters
Sorry again Sean. Not trying to twist or wordsmith. Perhaps just a poor attempt at an explanation. Never thought you were saying we weren't welcome. Let's try this one; My apologies to the group for excessive marketing of our the Sage on this list. sal In a message dated 5/22/2012 5:27:05 P.M. I think you know that. Just to remind you of what was posted ... it reads: "My wish is that you guys would certainly participate in the forums as Montgomery Owners, which you both are...Rather than representatives of Sage Marine trying to slide in a continuous sales pitch." To try to paint that it as though someone that owns/builds/designs a Sage is unwelcome is not a true depiction of what was said. Sage owners/sailors/builders/whatever welcome......Continuous Sage sales pitch not. Again though...that's just my 2 cents worth. I speak for myself only. Please make no mistake though, "I" am the only one that speaks for myself. You do not. Please don't twist it to make me or others the bad guy by "not welcoming the Sage, or those that sail one." I don't appreciate that and I know that you know that is not the case. I'm through with this subject. I felt that something needed to be said....and I said it. I have no regrets. I spoke my piece and I think it is very clear to most where I stand and why I stand there. I am disappointed that this message appears to be lost on you. I will stand on my reputation as someone who has worked to bring this group together. You will stand on yours. I don't appreciate the wordsmithing to change the subject from "Sage marketing" not welcome to "Sage sailors" not welcome. It was subtle and a nice try though....touche'. For the record.....I would say without hesitation that ,and I think everyone on this board would agree, Sage sailors as well as any other kind of sailor or anyone interested in sailing is welcomed to this board. As long as they don't abuse it. I apologize if my comments have made anyone uncomfortable. I do not apologize for my position and I make no change in it. I will end my participation in this thread with this post. Sean
