My boat has the holding tank up forward under the v-berth. I removed the holding tank since the porcelain head was inoperable anyway. I wanted to move the water tank up there but couldn't figure out how to get it out from under the cockpit. It must have been installed before the deck was put in place. There is not enough clearance to remove it from any direction without cutting it apart.
As near as I can tell from the measurements, the water tank has a 10 gallon capacity but the waste holding tank only 5.

My Yager mainsail is fine. Great, actually. I get a little too aggressive on the trim sometimes, just to enjoy how well the boat handles it. Larry Y M17 CornDog On Tue, Feb 23, 2016 at 10:21 AM, GILASAILR--- via montgomery_boats < montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> wrote:

I have to correct myself. It turns out above-waterline through-hulls still do not require seacocks so long as they are connected with reinforced hose. So it is not the lack of seacocks that is an issue. The issue is the industry standards for the through-hulls themselves. It is unlikely that the aluminum tubes glassed into old M17s meet current standards. ----- Original Message ----- From: "GILASAILR--- via montgomery_boats" <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> To: "montgomery boats" <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 23, 2016 1:21:09 PM Subject: Re: M_Boats: M17 water tank Cork in sink drain prevents 'burp' and keeps car keys in place.
